Michael is more than a movie, It Felt Like Reliving a Legend.
Some movies entertain you for a few hours, but some stay with you long after the screen fades to black. Michael was one such experience for me. Watching it in the theatre felt emotional, nostalgic, and overwhelming in many moments, not just because it told the story of Michael Jackson, but because it reminded us of the man behind the legend.
What touched me most was the way the film captured both the greatness and the loneliness that often come with fame. Beyond the iconic performances, the music, and the larger-than-life aura, I felt there was also a silent sadness carried throughout the film. It showed glimpses of a person the world celebrated endlessly, yet perhaps never fully understood.
Jaafar Jackson deserves special appreciation. There were moments where his expressions, movements, and stage presence genuinely made me forget I was watching an actor. The theatre atmosphere during the performance sequences was something else altogether, the music, the energy, the memories attached to every song… it all felt magical.
Visually too, the movie was grand and stylish. The concert recreations, lighting, costumes, and background score added so much life to the film. Some scenes genuinely gave goosebumps, especially for anyone who has grown up listening to Michael Jackson’s music. At the same time, I personally felt certain emotional portions could have been explored more deeply. Some parts moved a little too quickly, and I wished a few moments had been allowed to breathe longer. But despite that, the film never lost its emotional connection.
For me, Michael was not just a biopic. It felt like a tribute, to a performer who changed music forever and to a human being who carried both extraordinary talent and immense emotional weight.Whatever opinions people may have, one thing remains undeniable, legends like Michael Jackson are never forgotten. Their music, memories, and impact continue to live on across generations.
