“Many of us make the mistakes of not listening to our intuition”
I am a staunch believer in intuition. Intuition can be described as the gut feeling about a certain event or person. It’s different from thinking and different from logic. We feel that something is going to happen in a certain way and does happen so. Our intuition is always there whether we are aware of it or not. Some listen to it and some don’t. When we look back we will recall times when we have felt a certain way about something and turned out to be correct. Especially with people close to us. Although it might sound trivial, intuition is a great tool to guide one in life The over rational approach to our day to day life has taken us away from this magical mystical world. Most of these messages are ignored and dismissed as random thoughts. Many of us make the mistakes of not listening to our intuition. But later realized that we should have.
People who believe in intuition do listen to their inner voice, they notice things faster. They gain a sense of how often coincidences happen in their daily life. They learn to get their bodies tuned to notice their gut feelings. They listen to their gut feelings than ignore them. I have experienced such feelings many a time. When we get a sick feeling in the stomach without any reason we get the feeling that something bad is going to happen. Intuitions do give physical sensations in our bodies. There is a very thin line of difference between thought and an intuition. A thought is in our mind but when we have an intuition our heart also feels it. If we have to make a decision we must go ahead. Nothing will succeed if we have lurking doubts about its failure. Emotion and intuition go hand in hand. Meditation helps us observe our gut feel better. This makes intuition a great tool for decision making too.
People who go by their intuition tend to connect with people better because they can read the behavior of others by observing their movements and emotions. Social emotions like love, lust, greed, guilt, shame, pride embarrassment and disgust can be experienced by observing them. We have an intuitive sense of the people in our lives. We know who is who, the real ones and the flatterers. We get warnings from our heart and our gut feelings are on high level. But they still get unnoticed when they appear. Strong emotions never give us clear intuitions, especially when you are disturbed depressed or angry.
